Tender
and Eugen, two 'barely grown-ups' in their thirties,
gently obliterate their
senses in Amsterdam while doing some ‘research’ for
their screenplay, when
Tender bumps into Willow, a former neighbour.
Following his principle ‘it doesn’t count on tour’ Tender has a short affair with her, before returning home to his wife Jo who is pregnant with their first child. Only, this time it does count: before long, Willow pitches up in London with the news that she's since tested HIV positive. |
Seven London urbanites and one 'grande dame' of Venice try to organise their loves around each other while not letting them derail their careers, ambitions and friendships. Tender and Jo have new hope for their life together and the film Tender and Eugen had been working on is premiering at the Biennale. But just as things seem perhaps really as good as it gets – not perfect in every respect, but somehow working out fine – the past catches up with pitiless impact. |
Life
has prevailed, and moved on, things are looking up
once more; and Tender embarks
on a whole new chapter as he's about to get
married again. Or rather
would be, if he hadn't just missed his own
wedding.
By a glitch and some improvising, first Tender and Eugen, and then Eugen and their producer Anna end up sharing the honeymoon suite in Seville, where the heat and the passion get to them all; playing tricks on Eugen's mind and Anna's hormones with dramatic, but also hilarious results... |
